Musical (forgotten) treasures - Steve Mann

Steve

He's been a great, known among Bay Area musicians since early '60s as a guitarist's guitarist, a producer, a teacher and a nice persona.

Janet Smith, Will Scarlett and several friends from Berkeley and San Francisco cocooned him during his last years and he was able to give joy among the many who knew, appreciated or only met him at a gig.

He passed away on September 9th, 2009... too bad he didn't see the reissuing of his very first, superb and loooong deleted disc, now a "...k" thanking his long-time friend Janet and her Bella Roma label.

Read his friends remembering him at the above link...

I'll miss him and his twelve strings playing, so elegant.

R.I.P.
