Western/Japanese Audio Appreciation Society

For the very first time, since last summer, when I begun putting my thoughts in written form, I think it would be best done in English instead of in Italian.

Friends from abroad also asked for this, due to the (often) comical results of languages tools and WEB translators... I could open some new posts, with these amusing results... BUT... stop wasting time...;-)

I proudly announce the birth of

WJAAS - Western/Japanese Audio Appreciation Society

a newly conceived effort to share ideas of all kinds and hints, gears and materials, know-how and whatever needed in our beloved Audio worlds, so far BUT also so near each other.

Everyone devoted to Music and the goal of better reproducing or recording it will be welcomed.

The WJAAS will be collecting and spreading audio sites and links of great interest, books and records reviews; audio lovers from Japan and Rest of The World are invited to write to yours truly on this Blog, everyone interested in: vinyl records collecting, jazz, classical, any... classic audio gears: Western Electric, EMT, Siemens Klangfilm, Garrard, Telefunken, Neumann, etc. etc., triodes, horns and old cinema drivers, 15A, 66A... swapping all the above, we'll try to better blend the audio advancements reached from Far Eastern audio experts and tech-heads with European and American audio/music lovers and viceversa!

Voilà: the pebble has been throw in the pond!

Thanks to Steve Clarke, who, as I'm concerned, seems to be very intrigued by Japanese audio scene... he found this interesting and full of links and hints Sakuma-san's site, in English... I remember I already browsed in the past, but... thanks Steve... a nice, useful add, for WJAAS' sake, indeed.

The concept of "audio concert" is very old and well established in Japan... look at people sipping a sake and listening to Miles' blissfully... and places like Sakuma's music/audio restaurant and lounge bar aren't so rare... Japanese people love gathering and enjoing groups of their interest of choice but also the limited size of typical Japanese flat give a chance to the music lover with sensitive wives or little kids to listen the music they love with people sharing same strong passion.
Again, 2 - 0 for Nihon;-)
